Part 2 (of 5) of Pardon Me, Coming Through is now downloadable in PDF format in the May 2008 Infinitas Newsletter.
I've read it so many times while writing and proofreading, and only just realised the freudian name I gave the protagonist. It should become apparent to you this episode.

And then...?
Looking forward to next instalment! I've done a short news story with links on www.nwg-inc.com.
Annalisa: That would break the sacred contractual agreement between writer and publisher, allowing Tim at Infinitas to legally disembowel me in public with a LeatherMan Crunch multi-tool (now available at Infinitas/Blokey Stuff).
Sue: Thank you! That's so nice. I'm patiently waiting for the day when my little ones get independant enough for me to drop into the MHC and see some NWG guys again.
Your story sucks! (just kidding)
I love it, really...my only question is (and how often do you get to ask the author questions - and actually get answer?) is why didn't the scientists use a drone of some kind to test the environment on the other side, before sending a human test subject?
(answer: "life is cheap", would be acceptable)
